Depotex®
is a needle-punched nonwoven geotextile
manufactured from 100 % high density
polyethylene (HDPE) fibres. Depotex® is
used in separation, filtration, and
protection applications where highly
aggressive chemicals may be present.
Depotex® is used as a
separation and protection layer as well
as a filter in drainage and gas-venting
layers. When necessary, a woven
geotextile can be integrated into the
matrix of Depotex® to distribute dynamic
loads and thus augment the protective
abilities of Depotex®. And, since soils
invariably differ from site to site,
Naue Fasertechnik can help you select
the optimal geotextile for its
filtration and protection properties.
Depotex® nonwoven
products are manufactured in their
entirety by Naue Fasertechnik. Every
step of the process is monitored for
adherence to the highest standards. The
raw HDPE material
used
for Depotex® currently meets the highest
chemical resistance tests performed.
Furthermore, independent testing
confirms the excellent UV stability of
the Depotex® products. Various Depotex®
products are independently certified by
Germany’s Federal Institute for Material
Testing and Research (BAM) for landfill
use.
Depotex® replaces
thick sand cushion layers. Depotex®
consumes less space than conventional
construction methods and therefore
increases the containment volume and
tipping fee revenues. As a filter,
Depotex® protects drainage layers from
clogging and ensures their longevity.
Depotex® is easily
stored and installed on site. Simple
unrolling and overlapping (or sewing)
complete the process. Installation on
steep slopes can be accommodated by
installing Depotex® in conjunction with
a structured Carbofol® geomembrane. |
